Lookat what I got Oppo!
After a lot of deliberation I finally bit the bullet and ordered a plenum spacer kit for my G35x. Allegedly the two front cylinders (it’s a longitudinal engine) receive less air and as a result I am being robbed of power that is rightfully mine. This kit fixes the wrongdoing... or so that’s what I managed to get off the forums. Not sure if there’ll be a noticeable power increase but it is supposed to open up the engine sound a bit.
At least this gives me something to do with my car and will hopefully help me enjoy it for a while longer. I love my G but I really want a new car - STi, but lately I’ve been giving a lot of thought to the new Focus RS - however getting a new car right now wouldn’t be a wise financial decision. So I’ll wait it out over the winter whilst ripping it up with my new plenum and then see what’s what.

I need to order mine for the G35, but I’ve got so many other things to fix on that car before that’s an issue.

What sorta things are wrong with yours?
I went through a phase about two years ago where my car was constantly in the shop. It was like dominoes - one thing broke and a lot more followed suit. Mostly mechanical components related to the suspension. Guess it had to do with the car’s age because now she seems to be fine... knock on wood.

Exhaust cracked, suspension is worn out. I have to replace a bunch of components up front due to an altercation with a deer. honestly, taking it apart and putting it back together doesn’t bother me, but the parts can’t be found for good value. I can’t just GET a bumper cover, or things like that. I’ve needed to do the clutch for 2 years, but I can’t get any lift time. Unlike my ‘73 Celica, I don’t think I can get the transmission out easily.

Neat. I suggest doing valve cover gaskets at the same time if they haven’t been done yet. Fairly common leak point.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll look into ordering some replacements.
